A recent wii update puts the clock on the main menu screen. Suddenly, a lot of people (including me) realized that often the time on the wii is not set accurately. Therefore, here are the instructions how how to set the correct time on the wii.

Wii Internet Channel: Browse with Wii Remote Instead of Toolbar

Instead of relying on the Internet Channel’s toolbar to operate the web browser, use the Wii remote buttons. This can be a real time saver since you won’t have to aim the remote to click the proper button on the toolbar.

Wii: Select Default Search Engine for the Internet Channel Search Function

With the new version of the Internet Channel, you can select either Google or Yahoo to be the default engine whenever you use the Internet Channel’s search function. Now you can simply click either Search icon on the Start Page or the Search button (binoculars) from the toolbar and easily search from your favorite search engine.

Wii: Auto-Hide or Button Toggle the Internet Channel Toolbar Display

With the new version of the Internet Channel, you can auto-hide or button toggle the toolbar display so that you can view more of a web page. The auto-hide automatically hides the display until the cursor is pointed at the bottom of the screen. The button toggle uses the button with the number 1 on it to toggle the toolbar on and off.

Wii: Control your PCs Winamp with the Wii Opera Browser

This recipe will let you control your pc’s winamp via the Wii web browser and browseamp plugin for winamp. This requires a wii, pc, winamp and browseamp plugin, and basic networking skills. Props to Liquidice for the original recipe i’ve ported to many devices (psp, mda, pc). btw, i’ve been sitting on trying this since i heard the wii was getting a browser! this will work for a ps3 too (anything that has a web browser).
