Wii: How to Disable the Rumble Effect on Your Wii Remote

The Wii remote control (Wiimote) allows you to feel vibrations (rumbles) during gameplay on certain titles. While this is intended to add a sense of realism to the game, some users find this to be a distraction. To disable the rumble effect, follow these steps:

Instead of relying on the Internet Channel’s toolbar to operate the web browser, use the Wii remote buttons. This can be a real time saver since you won’t have to aim the remote to click the proper button on the toolbar.

 

Wii: Select Default Search Engine for the Internet Channel Search Function

With the new version of the Internet Channel, you can select either Google or Yahoo to be the default engine whenever you use the Internet Channel’s search function. Now you can simply click either Search icon on the Start Page or the Search button (binoculars) from the toolbar and easily search from your favorite search engine.

 

Wii: Auto-Hide or Button Toggle the Internet Channel Toolbar Display

With the new version of the Internet Channel, you can auto-hide or button toggle the toolbar display so that you can view more of a web page. The auto-hide automatically hides the display until the cursor is pointed at the bottom of the screen. The button toggle uses the button with the number 1 on it to toggle the toolbar on and off.
